I offer a blend of evidence based and woo-woo approaches, I am equal parts science and spirit by nature. My work bridges neuroscience, developmental/attachment psychology, and energy psychology.
Yes! I offer Coaching, Consulting, and Supervision support for people of all types. I am a credentialed Trauma Healing Coach, an NPE (not parent expected) Coach, a plant medicine Preparation and Integration Coach, and a coach for people experiencing STEs (spiritually transformative experiences). I provide consulting for trauma informed systems of care nationwide, and I offer supervision to new therapists in Illinois and Tennessee.
Yes, and they are some of my favorite people to work with. I feel very honored to hold space for other space holders.
Trauma informed therapy recognizes how your nervous system has adapted to survive. Instead of asking “What’s wrong with you?” we explore “What happened to you?” and work gently to help you unwind those patterns, without forcing or overwhelming your system.
My sessions with clients tend towards a collaborative attunement. What you feel you need from session to session may vary, and you are always invited to tell me exactly what it is you are hoping to get out of each session. Some sessions we'll just talk, some sessions we may track what's happening in your nervous system, some sessions we may explore Parts of you that are desperately trying to protect you and avoid pain, and some times we may be chatting with higher power.
At this time I am working 100% virtually. Currently I live in a very rural area, where I am recouping from many number of years living in chaotically charged locations. The day will come when I open a retreat center and will work in person again (I very much miss in person work), but that time is not now.
That depends on you and your goals. Some people have a specific issue they want to work through (a phobia for instance) and can be in and out of therapy in a dozen sessions or less. Some people value the ongoing support and attunement that a therapeutic relationship offers and will float in and out of therapy throughout life. What you want/need from me is determined solely by you and I will always support your self agency in knowing exactly what it is you want.
Not any longer. After years working in community agency settings and dealing with the racket of health insurance agencies...I have exited the building. In my opinion "health" insurance companies aren't worried about heath at all; they're worried about profits, and in their pursuit of profit they insist that clinicians label and pathologize people and want us routing people to pharmaceuticals. This model is in direct violation of my personal value system and I can not support it.
I offer sessions in 60 or 90 minute format. One hour sessions are $150, 90 minute trauma processing sessions are $200. I have no requirements around frequency of sessions. Some of my clients are weekly, some are monthly, some pop in and out as needed, most of my clients come biweekly. I do not work on the standard "therapeutic" hour, 50 minutes is not an hour...it's 50 minutes, I offer full hour sessions.
Yes. I have 1 pro bono slot, 2 half priced slots, and 4 three-quarter priced slots. I keep a running waitlist for people needing reduced fee services.
I host a complimentary Meet & Greet for each potential client. This Zoom call allows us to see how the fit feels between us, gives you some time to share what's going on in your world, and creates space for you to ask whatever questions you have about me and how I work. This meeting is very important and I don't work with anyone who opts out of this initial meet & greet. Regardless of therapeutic interventions used, research has evidenced over and over again that the primary component of good therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist, so It's important for us to meet and ensure we have good rapport.
